Nodo Side table
Nodo
This smaller table echoes the defining attributes of Artefact No 1, yet with an inverted composition that reshapes its expression. The monolithic stone pillar, now extending upwards, becomes the focal point, anchored by a steel framework that brings structure and stability. The result is an object that balances weight and airiness, solidity and openness, shifting its presence depending on perspective.
Strong architectural influences define its dual surfaces, providing two functional levels that enhance both utility and sculptural expression. The interplay between the geological depth of diabase and the precise lines of steel creates a tension that is both commanding and refined. The contrast between the organic density of stone and the engineered clarity of metal amplifies the table’s sense of equilibrium.
Designed to complement a variety of spaces, this artefact functions as both a practical surface and a striking statement. Whether standing alone or paired with its predecessor, it reinforces the dialogue of Nodo — on structure, proportion, and material honesty. More than a side table, it is a sculptural study of balance—where mass meets space, and stability invites movement.
