Nodo Dining Table
Nodo
A thin tabletop resting on a solid pillar — both carved out of stone. Balancing the weight of the material, a steel construction of four slender legs, connected by a circular brace, provides the table with a design that is substantial and heavy, yet slim and elegant to the eye.
Designed to seamlessly adapt to its surroundings, this table invites effortless transitions between intimate gatherings and expansive social settings. It is not just a surface for dining – but a stage for movement — where conversations, gestures, and moments unfold with natural ease. The space of the tabletop gives an expression of an elevated surface, obvious in its architectural interactions with the room it’s placed in, for you to use and conquer.
This artefact is made of diabase found in the southern parts of Sweden, which is the finest in the world. This rare type of stone is heavy and dark with great depth. The chosen finish is matte, yet interestingly reflective, subtly absorbing and reflecting light in a way that enhances its materiality.
The work put into creating this piece is something special in itself, ensuring a level of craftsmanship that meets the highest standards of quality and precision. Crafted by Kullaro, located in the same region where the stone is quarried, masters of diabase.
